Academics

VCA uses the Abeka curriculum to provide a comprehensive, biblically grounded academic foundation. Transfer student transcripts are carefully reviewed to ensure appropriate course alignment and continuity.

Graduation requires 24 total credits, distributed as follows:

• 4 Credits Bible (includes ½ credit in Life Management)
• 4 Credits English
• 4 Credits Math — Algebra 1 (1 credit), Algebra 2 (1), Plain Geometry (1), Math Elective (1)
• 3 Credits Science (2 credits with lab components)
• 1 Credit Foreign Language (can be taken Grades 10–12)
• 3.5 Credits History — World History, U.S. History, American Government (½), Economics (½), History Elective (½)
• 1 Credit Physical Education
• 1 Credit Practical/Performing Arts
• 2.5 Credits Electives
• Total: 24 Credits required for graduation.

VCA is pursuing accreditation through WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) and is scheduled to receive full accreditation by April 2026.
